Before my father passed away, I promised him that I would reconcile with my sister, Terry. My sister and I had a falling apart many years ago, and it was not a secret to our family. While papa may have understood where I was coming from, I knew that deep down in his heart, he would still want all his children to get along well. Wanting to make papa happy as he neared his death, I made that promise. It has been a year, but I still have to fulfill the promise I have made. I pray that the good Lord bless me with good health and a lasting job. I would want to help Terry send her kids to school because I know she has been struggling financially. But I would like to think that by giving gifts for nieces last Christmas, I have taken baby steps towards that goal of reconciling with Terry. I would want to establish a relationship with my nieces. I don't want them to grow up thinking that I don't care for them, because I do. |

My nieces are twins and they do not always like the same things. There is this one music band that they like though and they have all their posters and pictures round their rooms. It is surreal at times once one enters in their rooms. Their parents say that since they are turning fourteen, teenage hood makes them become very obsessive when it comes to some areas in life. This made me realize that I cannot get them the same gifts I used to get them when they were kids. I have to come up with more ideas for birthday presents for girls age 14. So I asked them about the band and they told me when the band members were born. Which genres of music that they play and how handsome they are and since I was dating an awesome woman who was well connected she got me VIP tickets for the girls and we took them to the concert for their fourteenth birthday. They were exited, and the best part is that they took photos with their favorite band. |

There is a Nintendo DSI control game that my workmate has been looking at. He says that her god daughter is obsessed by that particular game and he is just checking out to see what the fuss was all about. So we checked it out and we were impressed by the features that it had. A hand game that had internet was priceless. He bought it and we played with it for a while and it was pure bliss. The excuse we were using is that we wanted to see if it was suitable for birthday presents for girls age 13. Apparently it was because those are the kids who made us know about it. His god daughter asked for the one that was particularly burgundy in color. We liked the color and the stylus was really easy to operate. The touch screen on the Nintendo DSI game was top nothch. There is nothing about the game we did not like and we understood the obsession that the kids had when it came to that game. |
