When I found out I was pregnant, I felt a range of emotions. I was scared, nervous, and excited. I had always wanted to be a mom but now that it was actually going to happen, was I ready for such a big step? The first trimester made me wonder if I had made a mistake. I was stuck in bed 24/7 because I was always exhausted, nauseous, and when I did manage to make it out of bed, I was throwing up constantly. When the second trimester rolled around it was welcomed, and I enjoyed shopping for maternitywear. I had more energy! I didn't feel like throwing up anymore. I had more time to plan for the arrival of my son. But as they say, nothing good lasts forever. Now in my third trimester I feel I am even more exhausted than I was in the beginning. All I want to do is sleep. I'm anxious and worried. Do I have enough time to buy everything we need? Will I be a good mom? All I can do is hope for the best. |

First of all, I’m not angry, I’m just, well, let’s say, disappointed, very disappointed. And why wouldn’t I be? I know how some politicians can be very corrupt and brazen about the way they earn money over other people’s expense but I just couldn’t fathom why they would stop something that will literally save millions of lives. Yes, I’m talking about e-cigarettes and the way some politicians make it look like a killer instead of a life-saver.
I mean come’ on! FDA didn’t approve electronic cigarettes but that’s the same for regular cigarettes right? But why completely ban e-cigarette when it’s not responsible for about half-a-million deaths in the USA every year? Why not ban the culprit instead? Why not stop the manufacture of regular cigarettes instead if they’re so concern about people’s health?
No matter how long you spend in the internet looking for sufficient evidence that e-cigarettes have caused death or that it had caused adverse effects to its users, you’ll find none. But it is no secret that regular cigarettes can cause death, we don’t need to search the internet for that so why not ban the latter and not the former? I don’t really see the sense in this.
What’s more mind-boggling is the fact that many public health organizations see e-cigarettes as lifesavers while these politicians only see it as something to be blamed for more deaths in the country. Who are they kidding? Cancer-causing cigarettes are staying in the market whilst the life-saving e cigarette can bid goodbye? I don’t believe this! Tell me this isn’t happening.
